Privacy

The short version

Your deck files never leave your browser. Greenroom is a purely client-side tool: files you open are read, edited, and saved entirely on your device. There is no upload, no account, no cookie, and no tracking identifier. You can verify this in your browser's network tab at any time.

Hosting (server log data)

This site is hosted by Vercel Inc., 650 California St, San Francisco, CA 94108, USA. When you visit, Vercel technically processes your IP address, the requested URL, browser user-agent, and timestamp to deliver the site and ensure its security. Legal basis: legitimate interest in operating the site securely (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). Vercel participates in the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; we have a data processing agreement with Vercel.

Web analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics to count visits. It sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device, and creates no cross-site profile. A visitor hash is derived transiently from the incoming request (and discarded — your IP address is not retained by the analytics), giving us aggregate numbers only: visits, page views, referrer, country, browser class. We additionally count anonymous product events (e.g. "a deck was opened", "a deck was edited") that contain the event name and the deck's format type only — never file names or file contents. Legal basis: legitimate interest in understanding aggregate usage (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).

What we never process

The contents or names of files you open or save
Account data — there are no accounts
Cookies or device storage for tracking — none are used

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection (Art. 15–21 GDPR), and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). Note that because we hold no personal data about you beyond transient technical logs at our hosting provider, there is typically nothing for us to look up or delete. Terms

Greenroom is provided free of charge, "as is" and without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. It is an editor that rewrites HTML files you open with it — keep backups of files that matter to you. To the extent permitted by law, we accept no liability for data loss or damage arising from use of the tool; mandatory statutory liability (including for intent and gross negligence under German law) remains unaffected.

Your files remain yours. We claim no rights over anything you open, edit, or create with Greenroom.

You agree not to use Greenroom for unlawful purposes. We may change or discontinue the service at any time.
